Summer interns - we're hiring!

The programme offers 8-week internships to students who are considering a career in Client Service or Planning within our industry. Amalie: the final chapter

During my final days here at Leo Burnett, I finally got to see the department of Planning where Charlie Gent acted as my go-to guy. He sent me a load of articles and blogs to familiarise myself with and then took me through several informative presentations and campaigns explaining the Planner’s role in them. Consequently I gained a far greater understanding of what Planning entails, giving me a great foundation of knowledge. Charlie gave me the task of writing a creative brief, for Freeview’s ‘Summer of Sport’, which cemented and brought together everything I had learnt in the previous days. We discussed what I had written, analysing which bits worked and didn’t which was incredibly valuable at showing just how skilful writing a creative brief is – Planners: I salute you!
